Default Tamiya paint question.

So new to air brushing and i painted my tiger 1 the standard tan and dark green but the dark green kind of shifted to almost black after a few days. Anyone one happen to know why? Using tamiya paints xf60 and xf 61.

Its probably really flat. What did you thin it with?

try painting some scrap materil the same way and then do a clear coat. Expirement then when you are happy with it do it to the tank.

Thinned it with tamiya X-20A thinner. at a 2 parts paint to 1 part thinner.

Did you use any finish on it?

For all paints, you pretty much need to airbrush 1-2 shades lighter. Any finish will shade it a shade darker, and panel lining will shade it another shade darker.

Nope. just the 2 tamiya colors. no clear coats or anything. I ordered some white so i may try cutting a new batch with some white in it to lighten it up and try again or just leave it dark yellow and SUPER DARK green lol

That color is completelly normal... If you want a different tone, Id mix it with the yellow, but not with white.

I painted my kubelwagen with it, and even when it was too dark, I liked the end result, look here:
